Weta Contact

I've decided who I'm going to contact at Weta! She doesn't do Prosthetics but she does sculpting; which is one of the main parts of prosthetic makeup. Her name is Lindsey Crummett. On Sunday the 28th of June, I posted a comment on her blog (http://crummettcreatures.blogspot.co.nz/). This is what I said:

Hello Lindsey,

My name is Isis and I go to Selwyn House School and I am in year 8. In year 8, we do a big project called Passion Project. I have chosen to learn about and make a Prosthetic Makeup as I have have a passion for art and costume. This will be a big challenge for me. I have looked at your work and it’s amazing and so inspiring. I know you are a sculptor, but I know that when making a prosthetic makeup you need to sculpt. I was wondering if you would be able to help me with my project by sharing your experience and knowledge with me? I’d love some advice and help. My email adress is: isisward@selhouse.school.nz

Thank you,
Isis

I haven't had a reply yet but it was only yesterday.

Court Theatre Visit 3

Finally on the 2nd if June, I had my visit to the Court Theatre!! I arrived at 9:00 and met Christy in the foyer. She showed me around the whole theatre. I saw props, bits of set, the set of the play they're doing at the moment and dressing rooms. Finally we went to the costume bit and I met the costume people. I talked to Sarah, who said that they don't really have mush to do with prosthetic makeup but she's happy to help. I asked her where she got her inspiration from and she said some of the places she got inspiration from are from the script, directors notes, what the character thinks, time period and the internet. Then she took me up the the costume storage. Not very many people get to go in there so I'm really lucky. I saw a coat made out of ripped fabric, a leafy material that I liked, an old style dress that was cool, some big masks and some amazing headdresses. Here are some photos I took:

Sorry about the delay of this post. We had camera cord problems.
