On the 23 of march I made my final decision on what to do for my passion project!
My two ideas were to write a book and to make a prosthetic makeup. I chose to make a prosthetic makeup because writing a book doesn't really challenge me that much an I would probably do it anyway.
Prosthetic makeup is where you sculpt, mould, then you cast a face to make a rubbery foam mask. You then paint it to look however you want. Here are some examples:
These examples are from the t.v show Face Off. These particular ones are from series 7. That is where I got my inspiration from.
What a very original idea! It seems like it would be a very difficult process. Have you done much research about what it takes? Are there places in Christchurch that specialise in it?
